USPTO Orders Reexamination of Two Liberty Peak Patents in Response to Askeladden Requests

Askeldden is pleased to announce that the Central Reexamination Unit (CRU) at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) ordered ex parte reexamination of U.S. Patent Nos. 9,373,122 and 10,956,901 finding that the requests submitted by Askeladden L.L.C. raised substantial new questions of patentability. The challenged patents, assigned to Liberty Peak Ventures, generally relate to browser-based cryptographic key generation and secure handling of account information for online transactions.
Askeladden is represented by Haynes and Boone, LLP in relation to preparation and submission of these ex parte reexamination requests.
